Approach

“You’ve always had the power… you just needed to learn it for yourself” -Glinda (The Wizard of Oz)

As a trained Couples and Family Therapist, I take a relational and systemic lens to my work with clients. This means that I view us all with an emphasis on the context of our identities, such as gender identity, race, sexual identity, religion, and family of origin, among many other parts that become the make-up of the self. I believe in one’s unique understanding of themselves to support healing, and I work to reflect, and shine a guiding light in the process of healing for my clients.

My approach to treatment involves gentle challenges to beliefs you may hold, reflecting patterns that no longer serve you, and questioning the stories that you have maintained in order to find the innate power within you to create significant change in your life. This means that therapy can be uncomfortable, but my firm belief is that growth happens in places of healthy discomfort. My role as your therapist is to ensure that your healing happens safely, and with a helping hand.

I use an integrative approach to therapy, and I enjoy employing various modes of therapy, including Narrative, Solution Focused, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and attachment theory in my work with clients.

I am currently only seeing clients via Telehealth. If you have questions, please reach out and inquire about how virtual therapy works.
